The Riccardo Chiarion Trio is a musical project that brings together the talent and creativity of three musicians: Riccardo Chiarion on guitar, Paolo Jus on electric bass and Francesco Vattovaz on drums. The trio offers a repertoire of original compositions by Riccardo Chiarion, ranging from jazz to contemporary music, with influences from various musical genres.
Among the most significant collaborations of Riccardo Chiarion are those with the English pianist John Taylor, with whom he recorded the CD “Waves”, with the Canadian trumpeter Kenny Wheeler, with whom he performed live in Bertinoro and with the Friulian pianist Glauco Venier, with whom he participated in the CD “Tribute to Frank Zappa”.
Riccardo Chiarion has made four albums as a leader, in which he showed his musical personality and his skill as a guitarist and composer: “Sirene”, “Mosaico”, “Waves” and “Quiet Stories” (solo guitar album). Riccardo Chiarion has also collaborated with saxophonist Pietro Tonolo in various projects, including the quartet with Marc Abrams and Tommaso Cappellato and the CD “Sestante” with the quintet Namòs.
