BIP Project and Workshop at Friedrich Gulda Conservatory - JAM University Vienna.
20 Musicians Together
I have just returned from Vienna, where I participated in an unforgettable experience: the Blended Intensive Project. As a teacher (from the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Trieste), I had the opportunity to follow the rehearsals of twenty musicians from the five conservatories of Vienna, L'Aquila, Osijek, Antwerp and Trieste who formed a close-knit band, exploring the unique sounds of Terry Riley's music conducted by Roland Freisitzer. The BIP was held at the Friedrich Gulda Konservatorium in Vienna, JAM Music Lab University.
But the BIP was a crossroads of cultures and talents, united by the passion for music. In this stimulating context, I had the honor of holding a workshop on modal improvisation, sharing my knowledge and techniques with students eager to explore new expressive possibilities.
In addition to the musical activities, we had the opportunity to visit museums and the city of Vienna, immersing ourselves in its rich history and culture. We also participated in some jam sessions, where we could play together in a more informal and relaxed atmosphere.
BIP was an interesting experience in all respects. I take with me a wealth of precious memories and the awareness of having lived an experience that enriched my musical and personal journey.
